How do you rate the Porsche Carrera S 2012... ?
- What an awesome car. When I was buying this Carrera S I went for the usual test drive and was (in my mind) comparing it to the Porsche Turbo (2008) that I had previously owned. I think this car is better. And after buying it I KNEW it was better.

What about the Porsche Turbo 991 Cabriolet 2008... ?
- A great car... but.. cabriolet that was always damp inside. Engine electronics box failure (£1150 - warranty) and other little ditties. Sure it was fast, sometimes it was too fast (trust me) so eventually it was sold. It was not cheap and I felt that it was not really that great a value or (eventually) a great car for the money. The continuous damp never got resolved and I positively HATED that wind deflector that you had to build manually.

Why did you sell the Turbo... ?
- Some of you guys will be married. It's a good thing and usually it keeps you from doing silly things... but sometimes it makes you do silly things. Buying a Range Rover after a Porsche Turbo is one such move thanks to the wife who insisted I was getting too old for 'those Porsche cars'. I could almost see myself selling iced cream from the white RR.. not a too distant view if you are partly blind. I was waiting for someone to ask, and indeed they did! I might have known, it was an employee.

What was the dealer like... ?
- Porsche Turbo: Porsche Guildford.
A really great company that did every single thing that they said they would. The sales guy was excellent and if you asked his description of something his was exactly correct. A really great dealership. The Turbo was priced good (for the genre) and the service was impeccable. A Highly recommended company that can and will negotiate a deal for you. - Porsche Carrera S: Porsche Wilmslow.
Originally I tried to buy a Turbo from them but ended up in Guildford. Wilmslow did have some in stock second user, but the mileage (and the price) was high compared to others (I put that down to the 'footballer' syndrome of the area). Eventually I came back and bought the Carrera S at a price.
They wanted top dollar for the car and the only thing that stopped me going elsewhere was the colour (which was red) and my wife insisted no white, black or grey car. I thought the deal was greatly in their favor and they were having little by way of negotiation. The worst bit was on changeover and collection when I wanted my tax out of the RR they said it was theirs and part of the deal. Now that is taking the P**s. That one thing made me angry about the deal but by then it was too late. I'm still waiting for copy of the 100+ points check that they say they carried out.
My advice is to ensure you know EXACTLY the deal in writing BEFORE you hand over a penny. Nice enough sales guy, actually I liked him, but if I could have bought one in red somewhere else at that time I would have. Draw your own conclusions.

What is a Chevy SSR... ?
- The Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster).. ahh it brings back fond memories of a vehicle that nearly never was. Chevy went through hell in 2005/6/7 and this was one vehicle they stopped making for good after just about 4 or 5 years. They closed the plant. Basically it was developed along the lines of the old 1953 truck which most have seen with the big bowed wings, but bought up to date in the form of a street rod and engine transmission etc. An awesome car which you should check out from the menu. I include much more info on the web page about the SSR.

When is this site being updated... ?
- A good question. I'll update this site as and when I have the time to do so, but you can be sure that anything of issue (or otherwise) on the Carrera S (2012) will be posted in the news section and on it's page(s) so that others can get a feel of exactly how good the support is and what the real costs are of running one of these fine cars.
